Help! the stomach virus!?!
Question: Help! the stomach virus!?
Answers:
I'm emetophobic, as well (side note- thankfully, it does get better, and some years are worse than others in terms of anxiety, so keep your chin up). If you weren't around her when she was throwing up, odds are you won't catch it. And most adults are pretty good with getting it all in the toilet (sorry if that was graphic), which confines the virus. Just relax (if you're anxious, you're going to feel sick, and then believe you are sick, and just become more anxious... it's a horrible vicious cycle), and keep washing your hands. Remind her to wash her hands too. Use bleach to clean the bathroom, and use a hand sanitizer with benzalkonium chloride, which kills the virus that causes stomach bugs (ethyl alcohol, which is the active ingredient in most hand sanitizers, doesn't do the trick). Keep in mind that she could have had food poisoning!! Hope this helps!! ::hugs::
The germs might still be around but I wouldn't worry. The safest thing to do would stay away from here for atleast a day or two AFTER she is not sick anymore.
