i have access gas i'm trying to burp, i need help!?!

Question: I have access gas i'm trying to burp, i need help!?
i was eating pieces of fruit, and drinking juice, and then without any warning, a gas pocket and the fruit met up --- it hurt in the middle of my chest so bad, it hurt through my back too, i nearly passed out from the pain, i ended up using a neighbor's help to call 911, to get me to the hospital. the staff said it's just gas, i need to burp it out. okay, so i get sodas, but it's helping very little, and my breathing is still slightly limited because of the pain that is still in my chest and back. the hospital sent me home because my vitals were fine. but i'm wishing to have more relief... i'm wishing to be able to take that random deep breath without clenching in pain from the soreness of the gas pressure that is between my throat and my stomach. any ideas?

Answers:

do not exercise as the other answerer suggested -- exercise shuts off the digestive tract, which will cause your pain to last longer. dont feel too badly about going to the ER over a gas pain, it is far more common than people would think, and really does a good job of mimicking a heart attack. burping, sadly, would only help if you were a few minutes into digestion, burping relieves gas pressure in the stomach and first 6 or so feet of intestine (you have 30 feet of intestine). the only practical solution is for you to empty your colon, which will very much help relieve gas pressure buildup.

if this is a regular problem for you,it's because you are lacking in good digestive enzymes, so you either need to change your eating habits to eliminate gassy foods, or carry around a product such as Beno, which you take with your first bite of food.

I'd try some brisk exercise; rotating from the pelvis to massage the inner organs and get things moving. Leaning over to the left opens things up too (it's a way to burp babies!) as this side is where the intentine starts. The pharmacy sell things like 'Windeze' and 'Andrews Liver Salts' is good thing to always have in the house. You may have actually slightly pulled a muscle in your back, increasing the discomfort?
I'm sure it won't last much longer. Happy burping ;)
