Can I take Sudafed and Tylenol PM at the same time?!

Question: Can I take Sudafed and Tylenol PM at the same time?
I'm pregnant and only have a few options for cold meds. I was wondering if I can take sudafed for my cold at the same time as tylenol pm to help me sleep. Or Robitussin and Tylenol PM together? I have got to get some relief from this horrible cold, but don't want to overdose in the process! lol! I feel like death and just need the best option out there to help a little with the symptoms!

Answers:

Some doctors say it is okay to take Sudafed when you're pregnant and some say it isn't. Personally I wouldn't take the Pseudofed. There really aren't enough studies showing the effects of this on pregnant women. The Robitussin and Tylenol PM together won't hurt you. Do not take any multi symptom cold medicines with the Tylenol PM because many of them also contain Tylenol. Try a vaporizer, some saline nasal spray, and the Robitussin. The vaporizer and saline spray should make you feel better. If it doesn't call your obstetrician in the morning and ask them what they recommend.
