Very Bad Stage Fright?!

Question: Very Bad Stage Fright?
In year 6 I was OK performing in front of everyone but somehow now its been a few years my stage fright has grown huge, i cant speak in front of people, perform, complain, argue. ive tried all the weird tricks (like imagining people naked - ew, doesn't work. I also tried imagining a flower opening in front of my eyes someone had said it works but nothing works). It's makes me very panicky and my heart beat and I feel hot and sweaty. i feel embarrased n a bit ashamed because i feel pathetic not able to do things other people can easily do. Plz help.

How I like to see it is in a logical way. You're on stage and you can't speak worried that you're going to embarrassed yourself. BUt by sanding there and not saying anything everyone knows you're choking and thats embarrassing enough. So either you try to save yourself with confidence even if its fake, or actually embarrassed yourself. You speak or do something on stage, people are going to talk afterwords anyways. You say nothing they speak negatively, you say/do something bad they talk negatively, or you say/do something good they speak Positively about you. So why not?

I've been there and done that as I've been a performer for 9 years now, so I won't bullsh*t you, it's always scary at first and none of those myths work! The problem is you are way too worried about peoples opinions so what I do and have done for many years is not caring about what people think of me, you know, let go of all your inhibitions and have fun :)! My eyes used to tear up when I stood (or rather sat) infront of audiences but eventually I got over it! It may take you a while but you'll get there.
