could my doctor have made me sick?!

Question: Could my doctor have made me sick?
I went to the doctors on Wednesday because I was having really bad shoulder pain and I'm also starting school in a month so I had to get some tests done. She did the TB test on me and gave me a prescription for Methlyprednisolone. Now it's 3 days later and I've developed a runny nose and have a feeling I'm getting sick. Can she have just f-ed me over? Am I sick because of the TB test and steroids combination?

Answers:

No the steroid helps decrease inflammation of the nasal cavity (as well as all over) the tb test has no side effects such as these. You more than likely got a cold on your own (and it's completely random) or from all the sick people at the doctors office. It's not a big deal it's just a virus, take some pseuoephedrine and it will clear ur nose right up. If u start blowing out green mucus or run a fever go to the doctor. If not, just home medicate.

It sounds to me you developed a cold from the doctors office. I would just go back to the and make sure. And steroids are used to clear nasal passages so not the steroids would not cause the runny nose!

Someone Answer Mine Please?

My mom was a nurse and it now studying to be a doctors coder! My mom also had to use it and so did I for nasal issues!

Was the TB test a little needle just under the skin? and you have to go back to the doctors in a couple of days? This can be part of the test. I'm not sure about the steroids but I'd look into it. My knowledge of steroids was that it dried mucous up but i may be wrong

Most inoculations absurd things are actually to give you the thing in the first place but a tiny amount so your immune system goes into overdrive and stops you getting it properly! But I'm unsure what side affects you would get from a TB jab

i don't know.
