Question: Can Desitin hurt me? I'm 20 years old?

I have a slight tare on my vaginal hole & it hurts when I pee. Can I put Desitin (diaper rash cream) on the tare? I've been told it helps keep it dry & heal faster, because the wetness can stop it from healing. Helpppp!
