why aren't shoes shaped like feet?!

Question: Why aren't shoes shaped like feet?
shoes are curved in the front instead of fanning out like feet do, which causes your toes to curve inward unnaturally (not to mention uncomfortably).

so my question is, what is the point of this? why aren't shoes designed to FIT feet, and instead follow some obscure rounding method? and don't give me anything about "aerodynamics", because i think that comfort and natural growth should come before something so petty...

seriously, you would think in this day and age that at least ONE shoe manufacturer would make shoes that FIT THE FOOT...
