How to overcome overeating?!


Question: How to overcome overeating?
I've been overeating because I've been unhappy. I'm lonely, the relationship with my mother sucks, my job is depressing me.. I've been trying to make changes to my life but it all seems so overwhelming right now.

I have been excersising and eating healthy foods, i just eat WAY too much healthy food sometimes. I'll binge on a big pile of lettuce sometimes! This has helped me stay under 200lbs, but I can't loose any weight. I'm a size 16 now and used to be a 6. I just can't seem to get over the mental block. I will be good for weeks and loose like 10 lbs then gain it back in 2 days.

Has anyone successfully conquered this? What did you do? I really need to change this in my life.

I make a meal plan of exactly what I will eat for the day and stick to it. If I don't, I will eat like crazy. I have also got crap I am dealing with, from job and living situation changes, being away from all my friends, money.....so I feel your pain.



You need to slowly cut down the amounts of foods/snacks you consume. Try to never overeat. Try to eat less grains.
Get a prescription of diet pills from your doctor. They will help you with your hunger. If not, go to a local drug store and buy caffeine pills.



The best thing for me was to educate myself on the "dangers of processed food" which includes junk food, fast food, and sweets. I watched documentary films such as:
"The Beautiful Truth"
"The Gerson Miracle"
"Sweet Misery - A Poison World"
"Food Matters"
"Simply Raw"
"FOOD.INC"
The more educated I became about food; the more "wise" decisions I was able to make & stick to it.
You'll not only help yourself but others too.
You can also make sure you exercise atleast 20 min a day like walking/running.
This is called interval training and you only need 20 min of it and you'll see great results if you've cut down on your caloric intake.
First you'll need a stop watch....
Start walking at a good fast pace for 1 1/2 min. then you sprint run for 30 secs and then back to walking fast for 1 1/2 min. more and again sprint run for 30 seconds and do that for a total of 20
min. Make sure you stretch before & after so you avoid injuries.
