Question: Is Nurse Practitioner a good career to go into? What is the pay like?
Answers:

Brad, A Nurse Practitioner is almost like being a doctor but u have to work under a Doctor's supervision, If ur talking about a Licensed Practical Nurse(LPN) in Georgia has to go to school for 2 years, A Registered Nurse (RN) is 4-5 yrs. and a Doctor (depends on ur specialty) 8-10 yrs. Nurse Practitioner(6-8) yrs. It varies from state to state but if u were asking about being a (RN or LPN ) Rn's make more and are allowed to do more, a LPN there are certain things they won't let u do and u make less money.

Retired LPN

Why don't you decide to become a RN, the money would be more. You would only have to go one year more.
