How do I take quicker showers?!

Question: How do I take quicker showers?
How do I take quicker showers? I'm asking this question because I have been late to school at least 10 times and got a detention and I'm scared to get another. It's hard because in the morning I'm really tired (I'm not a morning person) and take like 30 minutes. I have to get up at 5 am because my school starts at 6:30 and im 15 minutes away. So this is usually how I take a shower.
-First I stand there for 5 minutes because the warm water feels good
-then I shampoo my hair and slowly stroke my hair to wash it out so my hair gets nice and smooth
then I put condition in my hair and keep it in there
-then I stand there for a while
-then I wash my body
-then I wash the conditioner and soap off and stand there for another 5 minutes
-after I come out and sometimes sit down with the towel rapped around me and air dry a little and they towel dry the rest
So How do I take quicker showers?

Lol I'm the same way. I use to take like 30 minutes but now I take 10. Just do what you usually do and cut out the standing around. I sometimes exercise before to wake my self up. Just dry quickly it's easier if you just sit there soking wet then it is harder because that must be really cold.

buy some 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner. put it in your hair and smooth it around.
while waiting for it to soak in,wash your body. then wash the hair stuff out.
this gives me FIVE minute shower and it saves water. :D
or take one at night.

Wet your hair, and put the shampoo in right away, rinse it out, conditioner (leave in), wash body, rinse hair, and body, get out. I know it feels good...but don't 'stand there'. Do that only on mornings you have time.

Wash immediately, don't linger. You are wasting so much water.....you're destroying our environment.

It almost sounds as if you are taking a couple of little naps while you are standing in the shower. I get it, you are having your Zen moments. But if you are making yourself late for school, perhaps you could wash up more efficiently (wash your body before you shampoo and don't worry about smoothing your hair from the shampoo, the conditioner will take care of that step) and save the meditation sessions for the weekends. Towel dry and get dressed without the sitting down part.

This is how most of us do it who have to pay the water bill.

you could always take a shower at night which is what i used to do, but if you're like me and you like taking showers in the morning to wake yourself up a little bit, here's what i do:

-get in the shower BEFORE you turn on the water. then when you turn on the water it'll be freezing cold for a few seconds and give your body a burst of energy. Then, of course, turn the water warmer.
- get your hair really wet and try to shampoo right away. then rinse it out with cold water. again, wakes you up, PLUS it will make your hair much shinier(: and, technically, you shouldn't shampoo your hair every single day. usually every 2 days at most. this is because the shampoo strips your hair of moisture and the natural oils it needs to be soft and shiny. so technically, you can skip this step every few mornings. just rinsing your hair with hot water should get rid of any grease or buildup in your hair. it should save you about 2 minutes or so every morning you don't shampoo.
-condition your hair!!!!! this is really important! even if you don't shampoo, make sure you condition! but don't condition too much at the roots. squeeze a nickel to a quarter size amount of conditioner in your hand and comb it through your hair with your fingers. this will also help get any tangles out. then let it sit for 3-5 minutes.
-while you're letting the conditioner sit, wash your body!
-rinse the conditioner with warm water first, then turn the water cold one more time for extra shine, and another burst of energy
-then turn the water off! usually it takes my between 7-10 minutes to take a shower when i use this method. even as low as 5 minutes when i don't shampoo!

if this method doesn't work, you could try some of these ideas:
-buy a 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner. let it sit while you wash your body. then rinse and you're done!

- take cold showers instead of warm ones. you won't want to stay in the shower for long plus it'll wake you up!

- think guilty thoughts like you're wasting your parents money, hurting the environment, you're gonna be late to schoolm you're using all the hot water, stuff like that that will make you want to get out of the shower.

- get up earlier

- take showers at night!

- set your alarm clock for earlier and DON'T HIT THE SNOOZE! you could also make your alarm clock 10 minutes fast, put the volume on high, and put it in the farthest place in your room from your bed. this will force you to get out of bed and turn it off. of that doesn't work, set it to a music station or song you really hate. this will make you want to shut if off even more!

hope i helped!

I completely understand trudging along in the morning. If a shower helps to wake you up and start your day, perhaps leave out washing and conditioning your hair. That alone will save you time. Save the shampoo and conditioner for evenings. That alone should cut your time in the shower down by 5 minutes or more. If you feel the need to go through this step each morning, you could do one of two things. Either rush through the process quickly, which is no fun and hard to do when you are half awake and not a morning person OR set your alarm for an earlier time to get up. To make it even easier on yourself, set your clock 10 minutes fast. Just don't hit that snooze button. This will really put you ahead of schedule or if nothing else, keep you on time.
