Good side affects: You feel relaxed, happy, you laugh, you eat and everything tastes great, you get a great sleep

Bad side affects: You feel paranoid, may have panic attacks, feel anxious, and in the long term it can cause anxiety and depression.

You do actually feel a little different after smoking the first time. It's nothing bad it's just like a "fog" that follows you around. It will pass after a few days of not smoking though.
Weed doesn't actually harm your lungs. People get that idea because back in the day people mixed weed with tobacco and the lung cancer caused by the tobacco was associated with weed. There is also no chemical damage. Weed does not kill brain cells, your short term memory is only affected while you are high, and it is less harmful than cigarettes. The only reason weed is illegal today is for monetary reasons. Although you do have to be responsible with it. Weed can make you listless and lazy. Try not to smoke when you something really important is coming up or before, during school. Also I would advise not smoking weed until you are at least 17. There are studies that prove that when you are an adolescent, weed can stimulate unhealthy brain stem growth and will raise your chances of getting schizophrenia later in life.
