I'm starting to get sick! What should I do?!

Question: I'm starting to get sick! What should I do?
So my dad was sick a week ago, and then gave it to my mom a few days ago. Its a really bad cold with like fever, chills, headache, and all that type of stuff. I woke up this morning and chest was sore and it still is now. But I bought tickets to the digital film festival in two days and I can't get sick cause I have to go!!! I'm taking anticold drops and eating oranges but I just really can't get sick right now. I was wondering what else I should do to stop myself getting sicker? Or what should I do if I do get sick?

You should buy some vitamin C extracts because they stop colds from getting worse. Blow your nose in the morning after you stand up since the snot is pretty loose and to avoid getting a sinus headache. Wash your hands ALOT. Dont suck back in mucus its gross and makes it worse. take nice long warm showers to keep your nose unplugged. Put a dehumidefier in ur bedroom. and finally if you have a cough put vicks on the bottom of ur feet and wear socks to bed. its magic. for your sore chest, take a mix of advil and tylenol or just one. whatever is good for you. Hope this helps and think positive :) that helps to.
Oh and try to avoid going to the doctors for something like this because you will pick up another bug there.

Well, be very hygenic, like taking a shower every day, washing your hands before and after meals, don't touch your face with your own hands because they are still dirty after touching the door handle, the faucet, or the soap button, bring a spare Kleenex with you in case you sneeze or cough, on and wear a mask to lessen the other chances of other people being sick.

Chop up some onions, garlic, ginger (if you have it), put in a pan with about a cup of water. Boil this for 5 minutes, turn off the heat, add a tea bag, cover it and let it sit for 5 minutes. Add a little cayenne (red) pepper, some fresh lemon juice, (bottled lemon juice will work too), enough honey to make it taste good. Pour it through a strainer, and drink. Suprisingly, you will mainly taste the tea and honey, not the onions. This really works! Add cinammon if you like.

I am a nurse, and I love home remedies

Take some vitamin C and B complex pills! Drink plenty of fluids (water, juice, not pop), and wash your hands well before eating anything. I also wash my hands (liquid hand sanitizer), after touching things such as grocery carts or escalator rails etc. A lot of germs there.

go to the doctors
thats what i. or any other reasonable person would do.
