Question: Do you feel awkward having a female doctor?

I went to patient first to get a check up and when I got to the room where they way you I was greated by a nurse who checked my blood pressure and then ask to me to strip down to get an accurate weight I was a little embarrsed and then the doctor came in and she and the nurse stood and took weight. I was so embarrsed and not only cause I was naked also because I was getting an erection. Does the awkwardness ever go away?

No I don't feel awkward. I didn't feel awkward with a male doctor either.

However, I have never in my life had a doctor or nurse ask me to strip down to get an accurate weight... I think you might have a reason to feel uncomfortable lol. That's not normal.

If I was a man stripping in front of a woman I would feel wierd. Since I am a woman I would rather strip down in front of another female doctor than a male, yes that would be awkward that's why I only have female gynecologists.

That is embarrassing. I too felt embarrassed when I told a female doctor I thought a pinched nerve in my back might be causing tingling in my penis.

i had a female doctor too and she was russian in top of that
but i managed til i was 18

I'm almost positive that you are not her first patient to have this happen to.

wtf.. they make you strip to just weigh you. my doctor just have me takes my shoes of.
