need help pooping constipated?!

I am very contipated and can not sleep.. i just tried taking a suppository and all it did was make a little lquid and the pill come out (guessing the liquid was the pill as well.. after i took it i was almost sure i would have to poop but when i tried it was like the poop was stuck inside me i could feel it wanting to come out but it just wouldnt.. Anyone have some suggestion of things to try i am very desprate and dont care what it takes please respond in great detal as i have never been in this spot before.. thanks in advanced!
