Feel like taking an overdose?!

Question: Feel like taking an overdose?
My lifes crap. Yeah I know typical person wanting attention. But I couldn't care less. My school works going down hill due to what I think may be depression caused by my parents splitting up. Because my school work is sh*t I'm never going to be able to earn a decent living and will end up living off benefits. Due to the (maybe) depression I'll never find anyone to love and if I do I'll only end up pushing them away. I can't leave home, and I hate where I right now. I'm under 18, so there really isn't anywhere I can go.

Taking an overdose seems like the easy way out. No more pain. No more hurt. But I don't want to. People who commit suicide are selfish in my opinion. They don't think about what they are leaving behind. I don't want to be that person. Help me. I beg you. Just a minute of your time.

Thank you.

I am telling you right now. Don't you dare commit suicide. I just can't let you. Things may seem tough at the moment, but I promise you that it will get better. Just give it time. Don't plan how your life is going to end up, otherwise you will end up on benefits and depressed. What you should do though, is look on the future with a positive attitude. If you're not going to do it for yourself, do it for your family, friends and me. Please. I beg of you.

My emotions.

Seems like you know your problems, fix the ones you can.
You say you'll end up pushing your future love away, well don't.
As for your parents splitting up, why don't you try comforting your parents.
They probably need a lot of consoling.
I used to be depressed a lot, but now I'm not as much depressed as I used to be.
I figured on my own that it's not good to attach feelings, you don't get hurt that way.
Keep to yourself. Focus on school.
Everything else will fall into place, trust me.

dont overdose, god says thou shall not kill and that includes yourself, also, you could end up brain dead for the rest of your life if it didnt work, sometimes suicide backfires and you could end up in worse shape than you are now. you could always bring your grades up, get some help for your depression, you should try st johns wort, that can help with that, and ask god to help you

I got close to giving up on everything a few years ago but thought the same as you, that it would cause too much hurt to the people left behind. I'm so glad I didn't do it.

I know exactly how you're feeling and though it doesn't seem like it at the moment, you really won't feel like this forever.

Changes that you've got no control over take a good while to get used to and you're bound to be depressed about it, but that doesn't mean it's going to ruin the rest of your life.

Try not to look too far into the future. Your thoughts will all be based around how you feel at the moment and negative thoughts produce more negative thoughts. Find some positives in the situation, no matter how small and insignificant they may seem and build your thoughts around those.

If you're worried about schoolwork, is there a teacher you can have a quiet word with? Explain to them what's happening. They really do take things like that into account and they can tell you what options you have if you do need to catch up. Or start studying something at home that you're really interested in. it might take your mind off things now and you never know, might come in handy later on.

If the worst comes to the worst and your school work does suffer, remember that not all jobs need loads of qualifications. Lots of people who earn a good living, or have their own business, or have a job they actually enjoy, started off with no qualifications whatsover.
