Plus if you still have a fever why do you want to potentially give it to your friends. Not nice! Get well.

Speaking as a Mom myself..........

STAY IN BED AND REST!

A fever is due to something going on in your body. It's your body's way of saying - Whoa! Hold a minute! I need to rest!!

You cannot just "get rid of" a fever. Sorry kiddo. Not happening. It goes away on it's own... until the next sickness hits you.

As for hanging with friends... I think you would be seriously pissed off if a friend stayed home from school cos they were sick, and then deicded to hang out with you after school -- and got YOU sick... I know I would be... Stay home and rest. You are doing youself and your friends a favor.

Enjoy your time off... And just think. The more rest you get, the better you will feel.. and the sooner you can spend time with friends ((maybe as early as tomorrow!!))

GOOD LUCK!! And deffinately FEEL BETTER SOON!!

((And please, please, please ignore the person who said to put ice on your forehead and go outside and take tylenol or motrim to take away fever - those are only temporary fixes and could make you stay sick longer!!))

If you have a fever, that means your body is trying to "fight off" bacteria (or viruses) that are invading your bloodstream. You are most contagious at this time. Stay home, rest, be considerate, and DON'T contaminate your friends.

I am a nurse

take a cold shower, walk outside, put ice on your head, anything to get your body cool, motrin or tylenol will lower fever

You cant, wait it out its your health not your friends ..... do whats best and wait until its passed.
