loss of appetite on antibiotics?!

Question: Loss of appetite on antibiotics?
I'm on day 9 on a 14 day course treatment for an h.pylori infections. I'm 26 and otherwise good health. I had a HUGE appetite before I got sick and now since starting the antibiotics (clrithromycin and amoxicillin) I have absolutely no appetite. The only way I can eat is if I take my anxiety medication and that helps me eat a little. Has anyone else had this experience while on antibiotics? Will it go away once treatment stops? I'm also worried that the medicine won't clear up the infection because there's no way I can go through this again.

Anti biotics so mess with your gut that it is not unusual to not feel hungry plus your body resources are pretty busy fighting the infection. Get some yogurt and or kefir to help repopulate your gut with its natural bacteria and continue to eat at least 2 servings a day for at least a week after you go off the antibiotics. As for other food keep to a bland diet, rice with soy sauce, ground beef or turkey, simple vegetables well cooked, oatmeal will all digest easily and help your tummy feel happier. I predict that within a week of ending the anitbiotics you will feel like your old self.
