Question: Can you shock someone with an AED that has a heart stent?
I have had this question come up during my AED class and could not answer it or find anything about it online.

Yes, absolutely. I used to work in the cardiac cath lab and we shocked people with stents all the time.

I looked around for this answer and what I mostly found is NEVER hold off AED. First off there is no way to know if the patient has a stent and secondly most stents these days are non-ferrous metal. So never hold off AED apparently appropriate.
