Question: How long can your brain be without oxygen before you die?
like lets say you are choking and lack of oxygen causes you to lose consciousness. How long would you still be alive for after that?

Under normal conditions 3-5 minutes and then damage increases from there until the brain dies. There have been cases of cold water immersions (drownings) where people were under water for a very long time, like almost an hour, and they were revived with no long term problems.
