Should I be admitted to the hospital?!

Question: Should I be admitted to the hospital?
Sometimes, I get shaky, dizzy, and confused. I have high blood pressure (only 16, and it's up to 150/91 now). I started coughing recently, and my mom thinks I sound like I have bronchitis. But I know it's the damage from the purging I've been doing. I can't laugh, eat, or sometimes drink, without coughing. It's been going on for awhile. I choke on almost everything. When I am eating and someone tells the punch line, I laugh, and begin to choke sometimes until I almost get sick. My periods are always light, and sometimes skip a month or two in between. They only last a day and then they are gone. My stomach feels as if it's about to bust after I consume food, and I get weird abdominal cramps for no reasons occasionally. Some days, I just don't feel good.

Answers:

if you're purging, (on purpose), this means you have bulimia. the symptoms you're having show that your body is reacting to the purging, and possibly being damaged. it sounds like your gag reflex is on high alert now, gagging over slight irritation of laughing, etc. your blood pressure should not be as high as it is. go the hospital and research clinics that treat eating disorders AND the bodily affects of eating disorders. your body is not happy and if you let this continue, it will get worse.

Maybe as much a psychiatric hospital as any general hospital. Your purging and coughing and your stomach "feeling as if it's about to bust after I consume food" suggest psychosomatic problems and other mental disorders which would better be served in a psychiatric hospital. And, if you have insurance, the medical community would love to have you in their hospitals, even if all you had was an ingrown toenail.

You should contact a reliable health provider at once. He/she will tell you what to do. I'm not quite sure if an emergency room visit before seeing a competent physician is the way to go. Whatever don't waste any more time. Just do it'

Yes you sound like you'd benefit from getting yourself looked at. I'd at least go to a family care clinic and have a nurse do a checkup.

Hope you feel better!

purging? you should go to a hospital immediately and hopefully check into a mental health clinic. these symptoms are from your eating disorder

get checked! you dont want to just shrug it off because it could get worse or cause alot of harm to your body.

yes.
