Thats not a high number and your blood pressure fluctuates all the time during the day, even thinking about something stressful can make your blood pressure rise. You could take it at 10 minute intervals and it would not be the same 2 times running. If you want to keep an eye on it do it when you have been just doing some normal thing like shopping for groceries, if you do that once a week and it is nearly the same each time then you are fine. If it gradually increases or is more often in the higher end of the scale then talk to your Dr. about it.

it sounds like you have a very stressful job. try doing meditation/or yoga at home to help you deal with the stress. high blood pressure over time is not good for you. it pumps your blood at a higher pressure, which means that the blood is going through your heart more quickly, putting more pressure on the sides of your heart walls. relaxation and happiness is a good thing! not only for your mind, but your body too.

Work or any form of hightened awareness can trigger higher readings.the point to help out is to not have it elevated for prolonged time if it can be helped.
