It's called a plantar wart, I had a cluster of them and they are stubborn, I got rid of mine accidentally, by ripping it off when I was removing some duct tape. I wouldn't recommend doing this yourself, since it is very painful and will probably cause you to lose quite a bit of blood, like I did. What I would recommend is going to the doctor and having it frozen, wait a couple of months and if it is still there then talk to your doctor about having it removed surgically.

I used to have a wart on my hand. It sounds like you have the same one that I had. I can't remember the name of it, but the way i got rid of mine is: there is a what looks like a little plate of skin underneath the wart. What I did to get rid of this it take a needle and pick that little plate out and it should go away. If it's the same as mine of course.
