Question: Has anyone had to use a wound vac on?
i have had surgery on jan 7 ,2010 the home healt care now just put a wound vac on and about how long for a 4 in long half in wide,one guarter inch deep wound to heal on a wound vac?

It depends on the location of the would, the condition of the wound, the patients health, etc.
I've seen less than a month, but I've also seen 6-8 weeks'
EDIT
A month or so should be good, even for a diabetic. The pain isn't common, but strange as it sounds, shallow wounds like your often hurt more since pain nerves are close to the surface.
How much it draws out really depends. Some wounds drain a lot, others not. The big thing the VAC does is also stimulate the tissue inside the wound to grow in & close the wound.
