Question: If someone goes to the hospital because they passed out from alcohol what does this mean?
My now boyfriend told me about how last semester in college he drank so much that he passed out from alcohol and his friends took him to the hospital. This more than a little concerning for me. What exactly would have to have happened to him for his friends to take him to the hospital? They are all in medical school so I'm sure they would be more cautious than others but I'm curious.
Also he says he can drink 10-12 drinks in a night, isn't this high? Thank you.

he could have gotten alcohol poisoning, which can kill you, good thing his friends were there and he should learn his limits, im glad you care for him.
Depends 10 of what and in what time span, also, he might have bin taken to the hospital cause they might have worried that he might have had alcohol poisoning.
