Question: My 6 yrold daughter holds her pee and poo all the time... she is in pain.she says it hurts when she goes.?
she has an appointment this week, but i wanna do research as to why she does this and what problems she is doing to herself internally. im worried about toxic shock but i don't know to much about that either. i will continue my research online but i wanted to see if anyone else has gone through this.

She probably was constipated and when she did go, it hurt. Now she doesn't want to do it again. In her mind even peeing might hurt. OR she has a urinary tract infection and it actually does hurt to pee. Until you see the doctor, have her drink some cranberry juice. Give her more vegetables & fruits.
she might have some kind of infection...
