If you get mono, can you get it again?!
Question: If you get mono, can you get it again?
If you get diagnosed with mono then after you get over it, can you get it again? or do you become like immune to it? (like you do if you have had chicken pox)
Answers:
No. After you have mono you develop an immunity to it, but it stays with you for the rest of your life. You stop having the symptoms, but it's in your blood. You will always test positive for it, like Lymes Disease. Very rarely though, people get it again, but they usually do not display the same symptoms of regular mono, because the infection is different.
