Question: Is there ANY way to find out if you have the hpv STD?

quick story. about a week ago i started having painful urination and burning sensation. so i thought i better get checked up for std's. and i did. they all came out negative.
now that my tests are showing no sign of std or uti, im left wondering what this could be. my painfull urination is almost gone and so is the burning sensation. so could this be HPV, something that they didnt test me for because they said there is no test for it.?
I dont know what to do, some people say it clears up on its own, some say that it never really leaves the body, and a few people are telling me that yea it actually does. im really scared because hpv can lead to serious cancers all throughout the body. is there anyway i can find out?
