Did I have a panic attack?!

Question: Did I have a panic attack?
I just finished exams. On the night I finished I wasn't feeling very well. I went to bed and became extremely cold. I immediately began to uncontrollably shake. I then started crying for 20 minutes. After all this I checked my Temperature and had a fever. I'm now very sick. I've also been encountering chest pains for the past month, right above my heart. Can someone give a serious answer?

GO TO THE DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY!!! Could be many things much worse than a panic attack...

after all ur problem is not to consult here.dear u should consult a physician.and hebefore making diagnosis of any psychiatric illness first must ruleout any other physical problem.and if u r allright now then try to relax and entertain urself.

i have read some book of medicine and psychiatry in my medical collage days.

I think you were crying from the stress of exams, and the shaking sounds like rigors (chills) that you get with a fever. With a panic attack you feel intensely afraid for no reason and feel like you're losing your mind. That's what I thought when I first got them.

Funny, you know, all the "medical professionals" that I been to over the years, alternate and mainstream, not one of them suggested this approach to the problem, yet it is so simple!

No, because adrenaline was not involved. That is estrogen and other hormones - see endocrine system.

you were most likely coming down with a cold or flu. the chest pain is likely due to stress.

This is a great resource for panic and anxiety related issues, and I hope it helps
