Connection of nerves along top of shoulder?!

For the nerves that run along the top of the shoulder, what do they connect to at the end? After an injury, mine are not connected to any thing and "bunch up" in my neck when I turn my head. This movement also reduces blood circulation which then leads to numbness.
I would like to know if the nerves are to be connected, for if it is, then this is the problem.
