How do you wake up easily in the morning?!

Question: How do you wake up easily in the morning?
My school starts at 7:20 in the morning and I have to be awake by 5:30. I'm always so tired in the mornings, can someone help me???
thanks!

Do try going to be earlier, but to wake up, here are a few tried and true tricks of mine:

First thing: keep a little bottle of tangerine essential oil on your bedside table (you can buy them at health stores and the like for about $5). It's basically just the tangerine peel pressed until the oil leaves it, and then it's collected. Just breathe a whiff of it in, and you'll be wide-awake; smells very citrus-y and strong and is known for sharpening the mind. Don't worry, you're not sniffing drugs or anything, lol. You're just inhaling the aroma of the tangerine, except concentrated.

Second: go to the bathroom and splash your face with cold water. Shocking, but does wake you up.

Third: this is my personal weird tip, but I actually burned a CD of songs that "woke me up". Some of them were actually about waking up (like Shanna Crooks' "Wakin Up to Love" and Evanescence's "Wake Me Up Inside") whereas others were just upbeat (like "I'm Walkin On Sunshine" and things like that). At night I put the CD in the CD player and put it right next to bed; as soon as I woke up, I'd just hit the "play" button and my head sort of conditioned itself- whenever I heard the lyrics to those songs, I'd jump up and be instantly perky (even if I listened to them at night when they came on the radio, haha).

Fourth: tea. I'm not a fan of coffee because you might be suddenly energetic, but you really do crash. Plus it does horrible things to your teeth, tastes like tar, and feels like you're poisoning your body. Instead I drink enough tea to kill an elephant. Mostly black or green tea, which both have the added benefits of cancer-fighting antioxidants. The caffeine really gets you going and keeps you up for the whole day, unlike coffee which makes you crash at noon. The tea makes your blood vessels tighten, forcing your blood to move faster and wake you up.

I had the same problem until I started this little routine. Good luck!

Well what helped me wake up and feel better is:
- Splash your face with cold water
- Put your alarm clock across your room so you HAVE to get up for it
- Take a colder than normal shower
- Eat breakfast

I hope one or more of these helps. You just have to try a few things and use them for a few days. If it works for you, stick with it!

personal experience

When you first wake up, drink a glass of water. Even lukewarm water will wake you up as it enters the stomach. Seriously, try it. I didn't believe it at first...but I do it to wake up earlier in the morning. Even if I only got 4 or 5 hours of sleep, it helps me to wake up and be more alert.

1. sleep early to sufficient you 9 hours needs of sleep
2. Prepare your clothes and your needs before going to bed
3. Set your alarm clock and try to obey it :)
4. Schedule a morning activity
5. Have a bath or shower to freshen you up
