What happens when caught smoking weed?!

Question: What happens when caught smoking weed?
If a cop were to find out I smoked weed by performing test on me could I go to jail? If he had no proof that I had possession of the weed could he still arest me? Do you think he would just leave me with a warning? Or what? Also how long of time would I have to do in prison?

your totally stoned right now arent you? you sound pretty paranoid :P and it depends where you live. but first of all they need a reason to test you, and if you dont have any on you then you wont get charged... and wont go to jail if you do have any on you, you will only get charged with possesion.

This applies to the US: a cop isn't going to just drug test you unless you're doing something 'impaired', like driving. If you're publicly 'intoxicated', you can get a misdemeanor at worst, which if you have nothing prior wouldn't include jail time. Even minor possession is only a misdemeanor is most states. Be cool don't worry - week makes you paranoid, but in reality it's not a big deal. Only when people act like a jackass when they're high do they get themselves in trouble.

I used to smoke a lot of weed.

that would depend on what state that u r in, however if he had no knowledge of the contraband, the state wouldn't matter. He needs probable cause in order to make an arrest. You will not go to prison, unless you were caught with a large amount of the contraband.

Depends on the country, but in practice police can arrest you without cause or decide not to arrest you at his whim. In a few countries, you can be executed for drug possession.

... you wouldnt go to prison... youd prob just have to go to court simple as that.

you're screwed
