I removed my registry for being an organ donor on the website (CA) but my licens!

Question: I removed my registry for being an organ donor on the website (CA) but my license has the pink dot?
I have my personal and religious reasons why, but I went onto the website donatelifecalifornia(.)org and removed it there. do i have to call the DMV and remove it there also? or is it already done. i have a provisional license right now; therefore, ill be getting a new license when im 18 so will the new license not have the pink donor sign?

Answers:

No, you do not have to go to the DMV. Any hospital will be checking the registry in addiition to the license, and will see that your option was changed and that you are no longer a donor. There are not two different registration lists; the DMV is connected to your state's online registry, and the most recent change is considered the patient's decision regarding donation.

I thank God daily for the family who chose to let their 14 year old son's organs be donated so that I could get off dialysis and live, and who let up to 7 other people live also thru the donation of his other organs.

How do I make changes to my registration?

Volunteer for my state's donation promotion group; I answer lots of questions on this.

very sensible, notify DMV as well and do not get argued out of it, if you are a borderline case in an accident your willingness to be a donor could affect how you get treated -not a very pleasant thought

? If your dead why do you need it?
