Had a carotid artery ultrasound and got these numbers, what do they mean?!

Question: Had a carotid artery ultrasound and got these numbers, what do they mean?
Right Carotid
CCA Peak 1.3 m/sec
ICA Peak 1 m/sec
ICA End 0.27 m/sec
ICA/CCA ratio 0.81

Left Carotid
CCA Peak 1.2m/sec
ICA Peak 0.8m/sec
ICA End 0.35 m/sec
ICA/CCA Ratio 0.63

Aorta AP - 1.6 cms
Aorta Lat - 1.6 cms

Right ankle Brachial Index - 1.1
Left ankle Brachial Index - 1.1

Are these numbers good or bad?

Numbers are the velocities, or speed of blood through the arteries scanned.
Numbers look to be in the normal range. The CCA (for example) looks to be 1.3m/sec..or around 130 cm-per-second. That's the only one that is on the upper range of normal. This doesn't always mean anything..just a little faster through here. A range to go by , as far as speeds, are anything > 125 cm/second. Dr's mainly worry about a very fast speed which can be caused by a narrowing in the artery causing speed to go up.. ie: kinking off a water hose-make water shoot out faster and more turbulent. This can be caused by a build up of plaque in arteries. If they didn't send you to a hospital to get a full scan because of findings (I'm thinking this was a screening) you're good to go!

The ankle Brachial Index or (ABI) is a pressure at ankle divided by the highest brachial (systolic) pressure of the 2 arms. You want 1 or greater for normal. Example: Arm brachial systolic is 120, the right ankle pressure is 50...then the ABI=.42 (not good) You want the pressures to be around the same throughout upper to lower body. If they go down, then it could indicate there might be some plaque in leg arteries causing the reduction in pressure.
Looks like you're gonna make it!
Hope this helps!
