how do i consult my doctor about medical marijuana?!

Question: How do i consult my doctor about medical marijuana?
okay here goes, i have insomnia, i wouldn't consider it mild but i wouldn't consider it severe either. i have a big problem with falling asleep and staying asleep, and when i am sleep deprived i get these mood shifts, normally i get depressed but every now and then i will shift in-between severe sadness and anger.

i have tried most over the counter sleep meds but they don't work unless i take a dose over the recommended dose on the bottle, but then i'm groggy the next day. i have tried marijuana before and it totally eliminates all my symptoms, i fall asleep quickly, i stay asleep, it gets rid of my depression and everything.

i live in Oregon so it would be legal if i get a prescription from my doctor, the only thing im curious about is how i should go about telling this to my doctor. i am worried that he may see me as a drug seeker and turn down my request and/or list me as a drug seeker.

any help?

Find a real reason!
Admit you are a drug seeker!!!

A Dr. needs to sign a recommendation and insomnia is not on the list for MMJ. If using marijuana and it helps with insomnia then speak to a Dr. or continue using MJ.
There is NO prescription for marijuana. MJ is not prescribed - it is recommended.

Reading a weak argument for marijuana use!

Read the very back of the Portland Mercury. They always have ads for doctors willing to prescribe. My guess is that your general-care doc won't.

if you get the card let me know cause i want one too. i am just like you
