Most of the time I get up I black out?!

Question: Most of the time I get up I black out?
I haven't passed out thou. I don't think I get up too fast. I read it might be low blood pressure but I had high blood pressure during my pregnancy. Can that happen, having high blood pressure and then low? When I get up everything goes black. I have to hold my head down and hold on to something. Then Im dizzy for about a minute. I am about 5'7 and 143 lbs. I eat about 2-4 times a day. I have diabetes and high blood pressure in my family. I cant ask my mom because she'll freak and have a panic attack. I don't smoke and I drink maybe 2-3 times a month, but I don't get hammered. What is wrong with me?

Have you had your iron checked lately? See your Dr. It could be low iron especially after having a baby. Yes, you can just have high blood pressure while pregnant, I had it during my pregnancy but after the baby was born it was normal (my normal is 90/60) but I had very low iron. I had blacking out spells every time I stood up, even if I stood slowly. Have your Dr run a CBC on you and do just what you are doing until you see a Dr and get your results.

I personally just think its head rush but im not certain. the low blood pressure would help the head rush stay and be more intense so its most likely that. this happens to me as well but it only lasts about 10 seconds so
