What could my sickness be?!

Question: What could my sickness be?
My respiratory is fine, no coughing or sneezing or runny nose. However, my throat hurts and I feel really low energy and a little dizzy. My head also feels warm and I think I have a temperature (though I don't have a thermometer). Those are my only symptoms. Is it just a cold?

Answers:

Oh my goodness, how lucky you must be to live to be old enough to ask a question on Yahoo Questions and never have had a sore throat before! Yes, you have pharyngitis, which is a scientific way of saying you have a sore throat. It won't kill you, and it'll go away on its own. If you have a high fever, like over 102 degrees Fahrenheit, then see your doctor just to make sure you don't have a strep throat, which might require antibiotics. If you're not running a temperature above 101, then chances are you don't have strep. Relax, get plenty of rest, drink extra fluids, gargle with salt water if your throat hurts. If it's not gone within 10-14 days, see your doctor.
