Tips on Pushing a Wheelchair?!
Question: Tips on Pushing a Wheelchair?
This is a sort of weird question.
My health teacher asked me to help out with the school blood drive tomorrow, and I would be bringing people back to class in wheelchairs. (there was an incident where a girl passed out on the stairs once, so they need wheelchairs now).
I know the basics because I've worked at the hospital here and know things like that you have to back up into the elevators, dont accelerate or brake too quickly, always put the brake on when you're not holding onto the chair, etc.
What I'm mainly worried about is opening doors by myself (our hospital has all automatic doors). Is there any tips you can give me about how id hold the door open and also push them in? This goes for pulling the door as well as pushing the door.
Also, any other tips would be appreciated, thank you :]

get in front and push the door open with your back while pulling the front of the chair with your arms.
