Neck pain what do i do to help !?!


Question: Neck pain what do i do to help !?
I woke up a couple of days ago and had this pain my neck. I think maybe i pulled a muscle or something must have slept funny. When ever i do homework sitting at desk it is really hard to get rid of the pain. Any suggestions to help are welcomed

Hey, neck pain and stiffness is no fun- especially when you wake up with it.

Start by using a supportive pillow at night. That will prevent you from sleeping in an awkward position at night. Upon waking take a hot shower, or use a heating pack to help soothe and relax your neck muscle. Do simple stretches (you do not need to stretch all the way, only until you feel the stretch in your neck spine). You can then also alter that with ice pack throughout the day.

See a chiropractor- they can adjust the spine, and also do therapy in the office such as electrial stimulation, gentle traction and trigger point therapy.
