What do you think caused me to get sick?!

Question: What do you think caused me to get sick?
At school I went on like a field trip (which was boring as). I was in a national park. As we walked to where we needed to go I noticed bull ants all up my legs so I quickly got them all off. 1 got me on the ankle and I didn't have time to look at it and thought it had gone away. When I eventually had a chance to look it was still there and had been biting me for like 20minutes. I also had to carry around 2 5litre bottles of water for no reason other than the teachers telling me to. I was thirsty so I drank a mouth full of the water which I filled up with just hose water earlier. (It tasted fine) then I got on the bus but just before we even started to move I felt sick and was going pale. Just as we pulled in to the school I quickly got off the bus and vomited on the grass. I felt much better and thought that it was over. I went home and felt sick again and was throwing up all night long. The next morning after a bad night sleep I felt better. The bull ant that was on me bit me like 15 times and now there is a big red mark from 1 side of my ankle to the other. I don't think it was bus sickness because it lasted after the bus trip. So overall a great day!!!!

What do you think made me sick????

Answers:

The water hose could have had chemical residue from those used to make it. This would cause a poisoning effect on your stomach such as that of a food poisoning. Also an allergic reaction to the ant is slightly possible. And a coincidental stomach bug could be the cause as well, which is most logical lasting such a prolonged time frame, but not necessarily the reason.

My observation based on presented information.

maybe you are allergic to bull ants. maybe while you were on the bus you could of got a sickness germ from somebody else but i suggest that you go see a doctor and check out that bite, it might get infected abd you could also find out if your allergic! good luck

I'm not an expert but I don't think you can get sick like that from normal ants... it was probably something you ate.

I'm willing to bet it was the water.

Microbes could be chilling out in the water hose and depending on where you were when you filled up the jugs, that water may not have been all that great for drinking.

I think that if you were going to have a reaction from the ant biting you, you would have more swelling in your leg and possible anaphylaxis rather than throwing up.

The throwing up kinda points towards your body trying to get rid of something that it wasn't happy to digest.

I'm a medic.
