Help! Tickle in the back of my throat, won't go away?!

So i've had this tickle in my throat for like 2wks, it would often cause me to dry cough. It is driving me insane. It used to stop when i woke up and got moving and become worse when i lay down. This morning it escalated to the same tickle, but coughing more often and once in a while i cough up clear mucus. I've tried chamomile tea with honey (didn't work at all) I tried just honey water, which seemed to help when i was drinking it but as soon as it was gone, the same tickle came back. My throat/ chest don't hurt at all but that nagging tickle is driving me nuts. I'm not allergic to anything that i know of, I'm nineteen and don't smoke, though my boyfriend does. Anything else i can do? or should i go see a doctor? Please any ideas welcome!!
