Is having visual migraine an official disability?!

Question: Is having visual migraine an official disability?
My girl friend has been diagnosed with visual migraine. She does not actually get headaches but sometimes for around 30 minutes she sees blind spots and zig zag lines and can't see properly. She has surrender her driving license and will not be allowed to drive. That means she has to give up her job. she is only able to do certain jobs. Of course she is very upset and crying all day since she saw her doctor. She understands why she is forbidden from driving but she is very upset because she have to quit her job too.
In this case is here condition a disability because it restricts what she can do and if so can she claim disability/incapacity benefit from social security. She is only 22 :(
