Question: Giving perennial care?
Ok not to be silly, gross, tec. This is a true question I have, in my CNA class we are doing labs in perennial care, and I was wondering what do you do/ the etiquette if the man your giving a bed bath in the perennial area, gets hard? I would ask my teacher, but this is terrible embarrassing!

lol okay it's not a grossed out questioned. im in that field. it's normal for that to have. it may have been the first time they are being touched there in a while and that happens and they may also be just a flirt. i just back off and wash around in another area and when i feel it's appropriate proceed and get it over with. your teacher will tell you the same thing.
Throw cold water on it!!! J/k dont do that...it may happen just be professional and continue to do the care....most geriatric pt cant get an erection due to health issues.
