A psychiatric nurse is a nurse with specialized training and experience in dealing with psychiatric patients. They are nurses who focus on those who have mental/psychiatric disorders.

Psychiatrists are a lot like psychologists, but psychiatrists are allowed to prescribe medications for mental illnesses. Psychologists are not allowed to prescribe medications.
