I keep making myself be sick to stop anxiety?!

Question: I keep making myself be sick to stop anxiety?
About six months ago, I went to Florida with my family. On returning I was very tired and very jet lagged which led to me throwing up before going to sleep. Since then, I keep getting sudden anxiety attacks two or three times a day. I have also started to make myself sick before going to school in fear I am going to throw up at school. I know it is stupid, but in the mornings I feel so nervous I feel it's the only solution. I don't want to tell my family or anyone I know that I do this, because I feel pathetic that I do. Is this a common thing to experience after flying or being extremely scared?

I also have anxiety attacks for different reasons. Talk to a GOOD Doctor about your problem. You may not need medication. If you do ,ask a lot of questions if he prescribes anxiety medication. The doctor had me on this one med which was making me lazy ,slow, I let people run my life to much. After 4 months of this I argued with the Doctor to change my Medication. I was fortunate he prescribed a medication which is super,Anxiety attacks is way down. I can come on Answers and make credible comments.I have doubled my performance to be almost at Level 5 here.

I think your anxiety is related either to the plane trip or something traumatic that happened during the holiday. Once you work out what the cause of the anxiety is, you can get treatment for it.

Popping anti-anxiety meds is not the answer, it does not get to the root of the issue.

Look up EFT, Emotional Freedom Technique, it will help you release whatever negative issues or trauma you have.

You are not pathetic, it is common to experience anxiety after flying or doing anything that takes you out of your comfort zone.
