If you have a high alcohol tolerance you can still be sober after a modest amount of alcohol.

A regular or seasoned drinker is often much less affected by alcohol than an occasional drinker.

yeah you can be a social drinker and not be drunk. Sober means you havn't had any alcohol at all, but most people unless you are super light like weigh 95 pounds etc... you can drink 1 beer a hour and pass a breathalizer. Some people could probably drink 2 and pass but they are a lot heavier.

If you are intoxicated you aren't sober. If you have any kind of Alaholic beverage in your system you are intoxicated. and again If you are intoxicated you aren't sober.
