How bad is ecstasy for your body?!

Question: How bad is ecstasy for your body?
Ive done over 30 times.. The feeling is amazing. I never have a bad coms down but I know its very dangerous. I need to know exactly what it does that harms your body.

Answers:

It depletes serotonin which can lead to depression, and can also cause damage to serotonin receptors in your brain, which can lead to depression, short term memory problems, and sleep problems. This damage will repair itself after prolonged abstinence. I don't know how often you are rolling and what the time frame is in which you rolled 30 times, but you should really only do it a few times a year, and give yourself a couple months in between to let your body repair. If you rolled 30 times in a short period of time, take a nice long break before you do it again. Not only will you feel better once your brain has time to repair, but tolerance to MDMA builds quickly, and if you take a nice long break before you do it again, you will find that your experience is more intense, more enjoyable, and more rewarding.

^ that person is retarded. Take an answer from someone who is also a user. You should also, for future reference, do your research on any drug before you do it so you know what your getting yourself into!

Depending how often you do it, long term effects can vary. The drug itself pretty much dumps all the serotonin through your neurotransmitters in the brain, causing that happy, lovey dovey, on top of the world feeling. This damage to the neurotransmitters is irreversible, but they can heal over time (never fully) and after a few days of using the drug the serotonin can also start flowing normally throughout the brain again. Research also shows that ecstasy use effects memory and can possibly cause depression. Again, this varies on your use of the drug. It may also disrupt your appetite and could cause insomnia (trouble sleeping).

Now, if your doing ecstasy once every 2 to 3 weeks, you wont have any permanent harmful effects, for your brain had that short period of time to heal.

I did E my first time almost 2 years ago and the past 6 months i got into the rave scene and found myself popping at least once a week or 2. So personally, i have minor sleeping problems, i LOVE food, my teeth are somewhat grinded down lol, and my long-term memory (**** that happened 2 or 3 years ago) i can confidently say i do not remember much from the times BEFORE i started popping. But i dont suffer depression and still do well in school! I may be a tad slower at learning things, but i dont have too much trouble understand material.

Hope i helped =]

Personal experience & thorough research.

STOP! it kills brain cells, and speeds up your heart rate... which means you can suffer from brain damage and have a heart attack.
