Can my hearing be damaged? Loud sounds hurt.?!

Question: Can my hearing be damaged? Loud sounds hurt.?
I listened to music on my headphones (not earbuds) for about 10 minutes pretty loudly, after that I took my headphones off and everything around sounded kinda funny. Could my ears have been damaged in such a short time? I have not listened to music previously so loudly. Can there be some permanent damage? Now I have to listen to everything on quiet, loud sounds hurt my ears. I am also having a flu. Can you please help? I am very worried :(

Its not likely that there is permanent damage in a short time. However listening to loud music many times can cause deafness. Headphones are the worst. They cause the sound to bhe isolated and directed straight into the ear. The flu you have made it worse because of the sinus build up and pressure.

Remedy dont listen to loud music and avoid headphones when you can. Its better to listen to normal sound level music and be able to do it for years then enjoy it for a short time and go deaf.

It's probably due to your flu. When I had it my eyes and ears hurt a lot as well.
