Tips for waking up ealier?!

Question: Tips for waking up ealier?
I'm always running to my first period class and I used up all my tardies. So what do you do to wake up early because I'm not a morning person.

First U have to stop saying "I'm not a morning person". That reinforces it in your head, and makes U think that it isn't your fault that U can't get up. I am not a morning person either, but I use to have a job that started at 5am each morning. I had to get up at 4pm and really be very quick at eating and such, because it was a half hour drive.
So get to bed early, so that U wake up because U have had enough sleep instead of the alarm going off. I usually woke up and turned off the alarm and jumped in the shower. Then I felt that I was in control instead of the alarm clock. I also woke up to music initially rather than an alarm so it was nice that to have my favorite music coming out of my stereo system connected to a audio timer.
Sometimes I would sleep 4 hours when I got home, then went back to bed at midnight for 4 more hours, and that was good for me, but most people can't do that.

I've done the alarm thing too, it can definitely work but I always just woke up mad because I had to walk over to turn off the stupid alarm. (I know that's the idea but I don't like waking up angry) Anyway, if you really want to be able to wake up on cue I would suggest three things.

First, if you don't already work out, start. It may seem unrelated but people who do even mild work outs, like jogging for 10 minutes a day, get a better nights sleep.

Second, get up at a regular time everyday and don't let yourself hit snooze. Getting up at the same time gets your body into the rhythm of just getting up then. Hitting snooze just makes you drowsy when you do wake up.

Third, make sure to go to bed consistently. If you have to get up at 6am to go to school, I know it may seem awful, but going to bed at 10:30pm to ensure you get the sleep you need will do wonders for your morning habits.

lol. yeah i have a morning problelm too lol. but here are some tips to maybe help you out-

1. try going to bed on time!!! an average person needs around 8 hrs of sleep a night....so try not to go to bed any later than 10:30-11 ish. earlier the better. it also depends on wat time u wake up. my school starts at 7:45 and i wake up at 6:30 because my bus comes at 7:26....and in that time i have time to eat breakfast, dress, do my makeup and hair.etc....

2. Set your alarm 15 minutes earlier than you realy need to me awake by...just in case you need to la\y in bed for a few minutes you can. but you MUST get out of bed tho lol (:

3. set our your clothes the night before. this is wat i do and it saves me time. when u wake up roll out of bed and throw on the clothes that you set out for yourself.

4. try keeping breakfast simple in the morning if u choose to eat it....eat a gronala bar, banana, pop tart...something that you can grab on the go saves time!!

5. how far do you live from your school?? try and get to your school by 7:30, this way you have 15 min. to go to your locker, get your things and get to class on time!!

I hope i helped!!!!

I set my alarm for earlier than I have to wake up (if I have to wake up a 6:30 all set it for 6:00 and than keep hitting snooze). That way I don't have to run out of bed as soon as the alarm goes off. When I have to get up i'm less tired since i'v already been awake for 30 min.

I use two alarm clocks, one of which is placed on the other side of the room so I have to get out of bed to turn it off.

Tell that ***** next to you in the bed to wake you up earlier.
