Something weird happened when I got out of bed this morning?!

Question: Something weird happened when I got out of bed this morning?
This morning when I woke up I got up and I immediately walked to the door(for no reason) and I just held on to the handle for a second before falling on the ground. I didn't fall instantly, but slowly. On the way down I grabbed on to the wall scratched my face on the wall sort of(this all happening slowly). And rolled on the floor for like 2 seconds before getting up. When I got up from the ground, I was dizzy and tripping all over the place. Then I went to look in the mirror and my vision was like blurred. Then I was thinking what the hell just happened? It was a total blur... really weird.

Oh yes, I'm not old, I don't drink, I wasn't high, and I'm not pregnant. So what happened?

Answers:

It could be one of two things, and the first is more likely.

1. When you stand up very fast after being asleep, you can faint (or feel faint, but stay conscious) because your blood pressure is low. This can feel like things are going REALLY slowly and can make your vision blur, and make you dizzy and fall all over yourself until your heart starts beating hard enough to get blood back into your head.

2. This may have been a seizure. If you had not just stood up from being asleep, I would suspect this. Tell anyone you live with that this happened, and ask them to keep an eye out for you to see if anything like this happens again, especially without the whole "just woke up" thing. If you are especially concerned (or there is a histpry of seizures in your family) consider having a catscan done - but unless this happened without your standing up really fast, I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm a victim of low blood pressure fainting. XD It's halfway funny how many times I used to jump up from the couch and pass out. XD

Sounds like you got up to fast. I've done that before and became extremely dizzy and had some blurring of my vision which soon went away. However, if this is not an isolated, or rarely occurring, incident I would recommend seeing a doctor about it.

Are you getting enough sleep??? Maybe your legs haven't woken up yet.Or maybe you got out of bed too quickly. If this continues to happen, consult your doctor

Me

Sounds like some type of seizure. I would go to a neurologist and get a cat scan.

You were drunk and you didn't know it. Rough party eh?
