is it possible to have the symptoms of schizophrenia while smoking marijuana?!

Question: Is it possible to have the symptoms of schizophrenia while smoking marijuana?
When i smoke to much marijuana, i swear i seem to get the same feelings of a schizo.i understand how they are because i have watched scientific simulations of the brain of a schizophrenic and i have i have done a lot of research. On bad highs, i start to feel like every action i do will end up in death. For example, voices in my head tell me that im going to die. i also feel like if i think of the word high while high, i start to associate it with drug addict and put myself down for doing drugs. When i look at everything, its hard for me to seperate that unrealistic dreamy state from reality, and all i do is try to control myself and act like everythings normal. I get extremely paranoid and i think of how the people that are saying things to me are actually out to get me and kill me by the end of the experience...theres so much terrible feelings that it makes me sick to my stomach. but at these times i make my best art and music so i keep doing this to myself. is this similar to schizophrenia?

Yes it is. I've been a cannabis smoker for some time now, and i used to get these feelings often. It sounds like the grade of cannabis you are getting is pretty strong, try having less of it and see what the effects are. You may still get these strange feelings when you are sober, if you do then i would advise seeing someone about it, as it could be a mental health condition. But side effects from cannabis affect people differently, some people feel fine, but then others may describe the feelings you have described. Advice really would be to have less smoke, and see how it progresses from there.

Sounds like you're having anxiety.. You should probably smoke less and also put yourself in good environments if you're going to smoke.. I used to smoke in highschool and usually the interior of cars had an affect on my feelings.. I preferred tan interiors because the dark interiors would put me in a mood. Also the people you hang out with might have an affect on your high or how you feel.
Thirdly, most importantly, the music you're listening to can affect what you're feeling. I'd stay away from anything too heavy. You have to keep stuff that agrees well with you, things that calm or soothe you. Don't smoke with people you don't feel comfortable with.

THC is mildly hallucinagenic. So if you had a mild case of schtzophrenia, yeah you'd probably feel the same things.

The major difference is that a schitzo can't "get sober" while you can.

You're describing some pretty nasty trips there, so part of me has to say - why on earth do you keep smoking it? I've had many, many highs and only one good night of paranoia out of them all, if all I had were bad trips, holy crap, there's no reason I'd ever smoke it again.

Part of this is strikes me that you're not really smoking pot for the right reasons (that is, to have fun and feel things from a different mindset) and your guilty conscience is ruining your trips. I would say man up and get over your fears before you smoke up again, because your fear (both of becoming a 'druggie' and also 'getting in trouble'.) is what is eating at you and making you live out your knowledge of what being a schitzo is like.

As someone who has had a psychotic meltdown, I have to say that pot isn't anything like the real deal. It whispers some things to you, but it sure as hell doesn't turn your brain into paste where reality and fantasy become really interchangable. THAT is unnerving and not fun, especially when you know it could happen again.

I have a rare reaction to certain anti-depressents that make me have schitziod episodes.

What's fun is they've put me back on those drugs...because the other drugs don't seem to help.
